After completion of PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning, Scuba Shack typically completes five dives at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, PA over a single weekend.

*This course fee covers your tuition for the Advanced Open Water course. Your online training, park admission fees to Dutch Springs, travel to Bethlehem, PA, accommodations and food are not included in this course fee.

What Qualifications Do I Need to Start?

You must be a certified PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

How Does It Work?

You can start the Advanced Open Water eLearning at any time. Then enroll in one of our upcoming Scuba Shack courses at Dutch Springs. You will need to complete your electronic learning in its entirety prior to the start of class. 

We meet at Dutch Springs on a Saturday morning where we will conduct our first three dives. Then on Sunday morning we will complete our fourth and fifth dives, after which you will be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver!

Do I Need My Own Equipment?

Yes - as a certified diver you will need to have or rent a complete scuba kit for this class. In addition to the mask, snorkel, fins and boots that you purchased during your Open Water course, you must have appropriate exposure protection (7mm wetsuit, hood, gloves), buoyancy compensator, regulator, tanks, dive computer, compass, surface marker buoy and spool.

1.    Purchase your PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning for here.
2.    Purchase your Scuba Shack Advanced Open Water Course.
3.    Get your scuba kit together.
4.    Make your arrangements for Dutch Springs (Purchase your tickets and fill out your waiver online at Hotel reservations can be made at one of many hotels near the Lehigh Valley Airport.
5.    Get ready for FUN! Become a more experienced and competent scuba diver.

Is There Anything Else?

Yes - everyone who takes the PADI Advanced Open Water Class must complete Liability Forms and an RSTC Medical Questionnaire, both are part of your eLearning). Based on your responses, you may be required to have your physician clear you for recreational scuba diving. A fully completed medical questionnaire is an absolute requirement prior to any in-water activity with Scuba Shack.
