Sorry - Scuba Staff are unable to accomodate the pick-up and return of Rental gear.
Availability: In Stock
Scuba Shack's Dive Skill Refresher course will get you ready to get back in the water. Our single pool session will take you through the basic equipment set up, adjust your weighting, practice your descents and ascents, work on your propulsion and refresh your basic skills like mask clearing, alternate air use, regulator recover and more. Your practice session with a Scuba Shack PADI Professional will be documented in your dive log for proof that you have demonstrated your comfort and capabilities in the water. This is a great way to avoid spending one of your vacation days your dive destination completing refresher work. A Dive Log is Required.
Do I Need My Own Equipment?
Yes - Tanks and weights are included but as a diver you are responsible for your basic scuba kit consisting of a mask, snorkel, fins, boots, wetsuit, buoyancy compensator and regulator. Wetsuits are highly recommended as the pool is chilly. With advanced notice, BCDs, regulators and wetsuits are available through Scuba Shack's Rental Program. Plan to pick up your Rental gear on Saturday and return it by the end of business on Tuesday. (We are closed on Sunday and Monday). Rental Terms & Conditions apply.
What Do I Do Next?
You can register online for one of our upcoming sessions or you can give us a call or send us an email to look at other options. You should have your original certification card available for proof that you are a certified open water scuba diver (any qualifying agency counts).
Is There Anything Else?
Yes - Everyone who participates in Scuba Shack's Dive Skill Refresher program must complete the RSTC Medical Questionaire before particpating in any in-water activity. You can download a copy of the form here. Based on your responses, you may be required to have your physician clear you for recreational scuba diving.
