Welcome to the October 2021 Scuba Shack Newsletter - 2022 Preview

As we make our way into the fourth quarter of 2021, we thought it would be a great time to give you a little preview of 2022. We have been working on some new and exciting opportunities for training that go beyond our standard offerings.

Technical training is coming back to Scuba Shack. We are planning to offer PADI Tec 40 and Tec 45 later next year and to get you ready for this challenge we’ve developed some foundational classes. First up is Scuba Shack’s Core Principles where you will dial in your buoyancy, control and propulsion. Core Principles is not just for technical diving. Everyone can benefit from taking this class. Then you can move onto our Introduction to Doubles. Learn all about the doubles configuration and then take it to the pool to practice. Finally, complete your technical foundation with our Intro to Staging where you will learn to rig a stage bottle and practice in the pool. Scuba Shack’s technical foundation courses will get you ready for the challenges of the PADI technical training. To learn more, please give us a call to make an appointment to come in and discuss the program.

Want to go diving in February under the ice? Then plan on taking the PADI Ice Diver class with Scuba Shack. Ice diving is one of the most   adventurous scuba specialties. Learn the roles and responsibilities of support personnel, tenders and safety divers. See the beauty few others ever experience. Like our technical foundations training, please give us a call to make an appointment to talk about diving under the ice. Find out more here.

How about easing into the 2022 dive season with something a little less strenuous, the PADI Equipment Specialist class. Scuba Shack will once again offer the class - this time in person. We cover a lot of information about your basic scuba equipment including masks, fins, BC, regulators and more. You’ll start by completing your PADI online course then come to Scuba Shack for three nights of practical experience with lots of hands-on opportunity. This has become a very popular winter class. The course will run January 11, 12, and 14, 2022. Sign up is now open online.

This is just a quick preview of what’s coming down. Stay-tuned for more exciting training opportunities in 2022.

We still have a few spots open on the Cozumel trip at the end of February. Check out the trip online for more details.

Mark your calendars now for our annual Memorial Day trip to Nassau. Before you know it we’ll be heading back to Orange Hill and dive with Stuart Cove. The trip will run May 25 - 30, 2022. We are still working out the details and hope to have sign-up ready by December.

As always, we want to thank you for all of your support and look forward to seeing you soon.
